is an 8hr course on the way to manage the scene of a motorcycle accident until emergency services arrive.
A very practical and informative course taught by Motorcyclists who are paramedics or nurses.
This informative course is designed specifically for the needs of motorcyclists and covers
subjects not taught in standard first aid.
The information is delivered in a common sense and logical sequence.


Of the people who have completed this training in the USA almost 30% use the new skills. This is a considerably higher number than for traditional first aid courses. Almost 76% of people also state they change their riding as a result of what they learn during the course.

The basic course requires eight hours and encompasses:
Examining scene safety
Spinal immobilisation- Why and how
Assessing the scene- Mechanisms of injury
Treating the injured- Airway control skills, Breathing (this is considerably more than what a first aid course covers)
Practical- helmet removal, Jaw thrust to eliminate moving the head
Treating- Controlling bleeding, shock, spinal immobilisation, head/neck chest and abdomen, soft tissue injuries, fractures, first aid, summary.
This course can provide motorcyclists with considerable skills which people always say they wish they had for when things go pear shaped.

can only be obtained by riders that have done this course.
Combined with this course participants will also on successful completion,
be awarded the Australian First Aid Certificate “Apply First Aid” HLTFA301B.
The HLTFA301B Apply First Aid course has been endorsed by Royal College of Nursing, Australia, according to approved criteria. Completion attracts 15 RCNA Continuing Nurse Education (CNE) points as part of RCNA's Life Long Learning Program (3LP)"
